Situated under the High Line, the project presents a blending of places. Official state soils are suspended in bulk bags above the ground. The bags slowly spill their contents, mixing with each other as visitors move through the site. Together the soils — transplanted, emigrated, relocated — take on the cosmopolitan life of New York City. They create a geological tapestry of every place but here, here.
